The College of Sericulture was established at Chintamani, Chickballapur District during 1995 with the objectives of serving the districts (Chickballapur and Kolar) having maximum potential for Sericultural development and ruralization of Sericultural and Agricultural Education. In 1995 B.Sc. (Seri)Degree Program was started and in 2007, B.Sc. (Agri.) degree programme was added due to increasing demand from the public and the facilities available on the campus.
