1. Abount Library
The library at College of Agriculture, Chamarajanagara started functioning from 30-10-2018. It is being maintained temporarily under Krishi Vigyan Kendra infrastructure. The library has got 762 numbers of accessions under various disciplines of agriculture and allied sciences. Also there are 322 donated accessions. The number of student members enrolled is 63 from first and second B.Sc. Agri. The number of staff members enrolled is 23 as on date. Also the library is provided with ICT facility comprising of 13 number of computers with internet facility for smooth functioning by enabling students to obtain information on various aspects of agriculture, allied sciences, general knowledge and various other subjects.

09.30am to 05.00pm week days. Saturday 09.30am to 01.30pm, Sunday 09.30am to 12.30pm.

1. About Library
The Library is the heart of college and one of the most important information centre of the college, which facilitates the teaching, research and extension programmes. Both the faculty and students extensively use the facility. The College of Sericulture, Chintamani has therefore given key prominence to the development of the College Library facilities at the College. Books, Periodicals, thesis, reports, maps, subject CD, E-Resource and Encyclopedias relevant to the mandate areas of the college have been stocked in the College Library. Every year new collections in the form of books, CDs in the respective fields are added to college library collection.

Saturday 8.30am to 6.00pm
Sunday 8.30am to 1.00pm

The Library has separate Text Book Bank for ST students in our college. This bank issues the books to the needy students for a given semesters for reference & use.

The Library has got separate News Papers and Magazines separate, these are print publications issued at regular intervals over a time. In general, the purpose of a newspaper is to convey, as efficiently as possible, current information, or "news", to a particular audience.

a) Book Borrowing Facilities:
The students and staff are the members of the library. They can borrow different kinds of books for a specific period of time. The Students can barrow two book for a period of fifteen days and staff can barrow six books for a period of one month.

A Computer Lab with free internet facility has been established. All the Resource Centres of College of Sericulture offer access to a rich repository of electronic resources comprising e-books, e-journals, online databases and services, and intellectual assets produced by the students and faculty. They can also use links like Consortium for e-Resources in Agriculture (CeRA E-Journals and E-Books ), krishikosh.egranth.ac.in, AgriCat @ e-Granth, IndiaAgristat to Access Statistical Data shared by university library.

Windostat is a statistics programme. Here we can get comprehensive data editing, data management, extensive statistical capabilities and graphics all in one affordable manner.
e) Library and Information Management With Koha software:
Library automation starts by adopting of library management software (KOHA 18.11.04.000 Version) in the library. Library automation is the general term for information and communication technologies that are used to replace manual systems in the library. The key functions of the library, which may be automated through Koha software are acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials control, and reference service.

College of Sericulture Library has created the database of Books, E-books, Journals, Theses, Reports and other sources of Information available in the Library. Users can access the OPAC through the Internet.

The College of Agriculture is established in 1991.Thelibrary has began in Zonal agricultural research station V.C. Farm, Mandya and agricultural research station Nagamangala.Thesetwo information resources have merged with the college library in the academic year 2001 and 2002. The library buildingwas constructed in 2001 and it is extended for first floor in 2019.Eachfloor has 360 SQM space available for use. 126 peacock cushion chairs have accommodated for readers. The Library information resources are automated since 2004.
The college library has more than 22,000 accessions pertaining to farm Science and various allied disciplines of agriculture, basic sciences, humanities, personality development, Biographies (dignitaries and Scientists) philosophy, religion, literature (fiction and nonfiction of both English and Kannada languages)subject dictionaries, encyclopaedias, News paper clipping articles, previous years B,Sc.(Agri.) Question papers and all kinds of objective (Question Bank) books on individual subject of Farm Science for competitive examinations books are also made available to the students and staff. Along with these books, Book Bank for SC/ST students and General Textbook Bank for others have been established. NCERT textbooks are also made available in open accesssystem in the campus.

Overview of the Facilities
The College Library is a gateway to a world of Information. The Staff and students have unlimited access to a wealth of Information found in resources like books, magazines, Journals, Hand Books, Annual reports and the Internet. The ACH- Library aims to providing access to its printed resources such as books, periodicals as well as e-resources for the use of faculty and students at the college campus.
The college library has more than 20,000 accessions pertaining to agriculture and various allied disciplines of agriculture, basic sciences and humanities, personality development and philosophy, literature (fiction and nonfiction of both English and Kannada languages) and books for all kinds of competitive examinations are also made available to the students. Along with these books, SC/ST book bank has been established. Further, there are separate sections for News papers and Magazines, JRF studies, Competitive Studies, New arrivals, Book issue, Reference etc. The library building has 24 hours power supply and runs solely on the Solar power.

The Library is available for the use for all CoAH members. Regular working hours; The Library works from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm from Monday to Saturday on all working days
The office equipped with the Online Server with clientele mode which is installed with latest version of Koha Library Management Software to access the resources across the campus and from the remote places.

Personality Development Books Section
In this section resources collection are helpful for students and staff to take interest in the development and empowering them with competitiveness, entrepreneurial and decision making skills by providing an excellent academic environment, inculcating values of discipline, dignity, dedication and devotion, to make them better citizens. The faculty of the department are encouraged to attend refresher and orientation courses, workshops, seminars and conferences. Further the department organizes workshops, seminars every year Though all teachers are engaged in the academic counselling, all the faculty members in the department guide the students at the time of enrolment, for competitive examinations and placements. Students are also encouraged to take participation in sports and extracurricular activities.

ACH-Library, provides access to high quality print and electronic resources and offers best quality services. Circulation is a major service in the library that includes issue/return, renewal of books, shelving and shelf rectification of books. Circulation staff will help the new users in familiarizing the use of library such as making memberships, locating items in stack area, placing reservation, guidance to use the OPAC, authenticating library online account and other related issues.
