Physical Education

The University lays a great emphasis on the role of games and sports to keep the students physically efficient, mentally alert and socially well behaved.

The University boasts of having state of the art facilities for games and sports. Well-equipped stadium, gymnasium, physical fitness center, lawn tennis and basketball courts, indoor badminton and table tennis facility, swimming pool are a few of them.

Every year, UAS Bangalore organizes inter-college sports events spanning across 19 different games and sports.

Coaching Facilities

Students are specially trained by the professionals in Athletics, Badminton, Basketball Cricket, Football, Hockey, Kabbadi, Kho Kho, Table Tennis, Volleyball and Yogic exercises.

The interested students are encouraged to contact the Physical Education staff for further assistance.

Hostels

UAB, Bangalore provides dedicated separate hostel facilities for girls and boys in all the campuses. In GKVK campus, separate hostels are available for UG, PG and PhD students. The hostels are equipped with internet, a common TV hall, Music & recreation room and a library. Every Hostel has a kitchen and dedicated cooking staff. The food is provided to students on payment basis.

Medical and Health Centre

UAS Bangalore operates a well-equipped hospital in GKVK campus to provide basic medical facility to the students and staff. The hospital has separate wards for male and female patients

The University Hospital is managed by the Chief Medical Officer. In charge Surgeon and Medical Officers render round the clock service to the students and staff members and their families.

The serious cases are referred to more sophisticated hospitals such as Malya Hospital, Manipal Hospital, etc.

Placement and Counselling Cells

The University has separate Placement cell. Many prominent companies and banks regularly hire students graduated from our University through the placement cell. The interested students are counselled and provided with necessary assistance to pursue their higher education in other premier institutes in India and abroad.

National Service Scheme

The University has adopted the National Service Scheme at the University level. The main goal of NSS is to nurture patriotism, and inculcate service moto among the students. Coordinator at the main campus and Assistant Coordinators at each of the sub campuses organize the defined and identified mandated programs. The UG students undergo non-credit NSS course during I and II year. As part of the course, the students attend 10 days camp in rural areas and render community service.

Other General Activities

Celebration of National Festivals

All the national festivals such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanthi etc are celebrated in all the campuses with great fervor.
