Under Graduate Programmes – 2
The College of Sericulture, Chintamani is presently offering B.Sc. (Hons.) in Sericulture and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture degree programs for four years (eight semesters). The admission policy has been clearly defined and broadly conforms to ICAR norms. The applicants should have passed two years Pre-University (PUC) examination of Karnataka or its equivalent examination with the combination of PCMB subjects. The admission of the candidates is based on the reservation policies of the state government and due weightage is given to candidates from rural areas with agricultural backgrounds.

The College offers postgraduate programs in Agronomy, Entomology, and Sericulture.

Teaching
The college has a team of well experienced and qualified faculty to teach sericultural, agricultural, basic and allied sciences subjects to the students. Spacious and modern class rooms, laboratories, field facilities, seminar hall, library and other facilities are available for imparting quality teaching. Total quality management (TQM) is the guiding principle adopted at all levels.
Research
The teachers are engaged in conducting need based research in integrated crop management approaches leading to scaling up of productivity in sericulture, agriculture and horticulture. The research projects are funded by ICAR, DBT, GOK and the University
Extension
The teachers are also engaged in transfer of technologies to the Farming community, training extension personnel of state departments of agriculture, horticulture, sericulture, watershed development, JSYS etc.
