Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF)

ALBUM

“The Central Instrumentation Facility at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore is built to strengthen technological infrastructure to carry out advanced research. The CIF houses state-of-the-art equipment such as scanning electron microscope, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer, laser scanning confocal microscopy, ultra-performance liquid chromatography, etc. The services of this facility are not limited only to student and researchers of UAS-B but will be extended to other academic and research institutions, universities and industries. The facility will be made available at reasonable pricing to students and researchers”

About the CIF

The dedicated Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) with advanced instruments is established for the benefits of students and faculty at GKVK Campus. The CIF has several advanced instruments purchased under the major projects supported by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Karnataka State Bioenergy Development Board, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and other funding agencies. The CIF is housed in two different buildings, one in the North Block (Room No 45 and 47) of the College of Agriculture (Unit 1) and the other at the Bioenergy Research and Quality Assurance Laboratory, Advanced Center for Bioenergy Research (Unit 2).

The UASB-CIF are being operated and maintained by a dedicated and qualified team and the facility is open to all the researchers from universities, academic institutes, national research institutes and industries. The major objective of the CIF would be to impart training to students and faculty, and facilitate advanced research in various disciplines of agricultural and allied sciences. The data would be provided for research purposes only, and cannot be used as certificates in legal disputes.
