UAS (B) is offering Doctoral Programmes in 15 subjects at GKVK campus
During the Academic year 2023-24, a total of 953 candidates were admitted to Bachelor’s Degree Programmes, of which 130 were ICAR students and 17 were NRI students. Totally 281 candidates were admitted to Master’s Degree Programmes, out of which 58 were ICAR/JNU and 08 NRI Students. For the Doctoral Degree programmes, total 88 candidates
were admitted including 23 students under the ICAR quota.
The University is offering seven Under Graduate programmes of four years’ duration under semester system (21 weeks) with English as medium of instruction, in its six colleges.
College of Agriculture, GKVK, offers UG Programmes in 1) B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and 2) B.Sc. (Hons.) Agri Business Management and Master’s Programmes in 21 disciplines and Ph.D. programmes in 17 disciplines.
College of Agricultural Engineering, GKVK offers B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) and M.Tech. Programmes in 1) Farm Machinery and Power Engineering 2) Food Processing Technology 3) Processing and Food Engineering and 4) Soil and Water Conservation Engineering.
College of Agriculture, Hassan offers three Bachelor Degree programmes viz., B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture; B.Tech. (Bio Tech.) and B.Tech. (Food Technology) and master’s prgrammes in 1) Plant Biotechnology, 2) Entomology & M.Tech. in Food Processing Technology.
College of Sericulture, Chintamani offers two-degree programmes viz., B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons.) Sericulture and Masters Programmes in 1) Sericulture 2) Agronomy and 3) Entomology.
College of Agriculture, Mandya offers Bachelor Degree programme in B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, Five Master’s Programmes in 1) Agronomy 2) Entomology 3) Genetics and Plant Breeding 4) Plant Pathology and 5) Soil Science
and two years Diploma in Agriculture.
College of Agriculture, Chamarajanagara offers Bachelor’s Degree programme in B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture.
The University admits students to Bachelor’s degree programmes through KEA-CET by following the Government of Karnataka / ICAR guidelines/norms/roaster. The University has reserved 40 per cent of seats to children of Agriculturists. As per the ICAR direction, 15 per cent of the seats are reserved for ICAR-NTS candidates. The University also admits foreign students for 5 per cent and NRI students for 10 per cent of the intake. The prescribed qualification is 10+2 with PCMB combinations for B.Sc.(Hons.) in Agri./ABM courses and PCM for B.Tech. Programme. Fifty percent of the seats are reserved for children of Agriculturists for UG programmes.
