Coordinator’s Message
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, was established on 2nd May 2023 at the Office of the Vice Chancellor, with the objective of ensuring continuous quality enhancement in education, research and institutional governance. IQAC plays a vital role in maintaining academic excellence, transparency and accountability across all university functions.
As an integral part of the university, IQAC actively engages with stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, parents, management, industry and funding agencies to improve the quality of education and research. Structured feedback mechanisms, faculty development programs, academic audits, and infrastructure enhancement contribute to creating an enabling and innovative learning environment.
Key initiatives include faculty and student orientation programs, curriculum enhancement strategies, digital learning adoption, green initiatives and research capacity building, ensuring that UAS Bangalore remains at the forefront of agricultural education and innovation. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of institutional progress align with national and global educational benchmarks.
Through these concerted efforts, IQAC serves for excellence, reinforcing the university’s commitment to quality education, impactful research and community engagement. Active participation from all stakeholders is encouraged in the journey towards continuous improvement and institutional excellence.
Vision and Mission of IQAC
Vision
To develop systematic quality processes in the college for evolving, enhancing and sustaining excellence in its academic and administrative practices and to set benchmarks for their periodic evaluation.
Mission
• To develop a conscious, consistent and catalytic quality improvement system that encourages the pursuits of the staff and students of the college.
• To promote innovative practices to continually improve the effectiveness of the teaching-learning experiences of the staff and students.
• To strive to realize the mottoes of the college through the best possible implementation of the plans and policies of the Management, University and the Government, pertaining to knowledge production and dissemination.
• To ensure a learner-centric environment equipped with the latest techniques and technologies of teaching, research and sharing knowledge.
Aims and Objectives of the IQAC
1. To define quality parameters for the college.
2. To work as catalyst for the overall academic and administrative improvement of the institution.
3. To create a desire among the stakeholders for the pursuit of knowledge, to acquire the skills and achieve excellence in teaching-learning and research.
4. To monitor the quality aspects of the institution.
5. To undertake quality-related initiatives, consultancy and training programmes.
6. To intervene and guide the departments wherever necessary for quality enhancement.
