Department of Agricultural Extension

The department of Agricultural Extension came into being as an independent department in the college merging animal husbandry, Psychology and physical education divisions. It has been playing a pioneering role in the growth and development of extension science with specific reference to research, education and training in extension education. It grew leaps and bounds under the dynamic leaders. The department has been providing the leadership role in areas of teaching, research, training and transfer of technology in the discipline of agricultural extension. The mandate of the department is to serve as a centre for academic excellence and provide leadership in agricultural extension. The department also undertakes extension outreach activities under Student READY RAWE programme.
