Department of Horticulture

The Department of Horticulture has become one of the main branches of College in the year 1991 with the inception of College of Agriculture at V.C. Farm, Mandya. The Department has well qualified Teaching faculty involved in Teaching Horticulture 26 credit hours to the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree programme,7 credit hours to Diploma (Agri.) and 2 credit hours to Post Graduate students. Department of Horticulture added colors to the campus by raising enormous Horticultural plant species viz. Fruits, Plantation, Flowers, Ornamentals, Vegetables and so on. The faculty also involved in all-round development of the campus and answering to the quires of the farmers in the zone. Information also extended to the farmers through Radio talks, TV programmes, popular articles and other publications.
