Location : Office; Behind College of Agriculture and Farm at J’ block, UAS (B), GKVK, Bangalore. | ||||||
Year of Start : 1931 at Main Research Station, Hebbal, Bangalore and shifted to UAS, GKVK, Bangalore campus and officially started to work from 14.09.2022. | ||||||
Vision :
v Creation of a common response to develop fishery resources, sustainable utilization of its potentials in the Agrarian Scenario integrating in the region. |

Mandate :
v Undertake and support research for the development of appropriate fisheries and aquaculture technologies. v Human resource development at all levels on Inland Fisheries related issues, activities and practices. v Dissemination of potential technologies and related knowledge for wider adoption. |
